There will be a special Veterans Tribute honoring those who served our nation Saturday, Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Center for Life Enrichment, 1306 W. Wisconsin Ave., Oconomowoc. This free luncheon and program is sponsored by Oliver Construction of Oconomowoc.
The Nov. 7 Program includes Honor Guard Presentation of Colors, master of ceremonies with Randy Otto, speaker COL (Retired) Christopher J DeMeulenaere, SP, special presentation and honoring of veterans, guest soloist and playing of Taps with David Reul, and a free Café LaBelle lunch for veterans and one guest at the Center for Life Enrichment.
COL DeMeulenaere initiated his military career as an ROTC Cadet while attending Marquette University from 1981-1985. Recently, COL DeMeulenaere served as Commander of the 330th Medical Brigade, overseeing approximately 2,300 troops in 8 states prior from January 2013 through March 2015 prior to retiring on June 1, 2015. During his tenure as Commander of the 330th, COL DeMeulenaere assisted in the transformation of the 807th Medical Command Deployment Support realignment, and was the most sourced Medical Brigade in the Army’s inventory from 2013-2015, in addition to having a key homeland security mission. During his career, he has been mobilized in CONUS in support of OEF as a Physical Therapist/Safety Officer, and has provided medical support OCONUS both in Ecuador and Paraguay through US-SOUTHCOM.
Luncheon menu to include: Salisbury steak with brown gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetable, macaroni and cheese, tossed salad, beverage and dessert. There is limited seating and walk-ins are not allowed. Ticket secures veterans’ seat.
