Man who remembers every day of his life subject of documentary film at OAC, Jan. 31

Unfortgettable posterFilm “Unforgettable” explores the real-life adventures of “the Human Google,” Brad Williams

A documentary film titled “Unforgettable” will be screened at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in the Oconomowoc Arts Center Little Theater.

“Unforgettable” tells the fascinating story of Brad Williams. Featured on the television news program “60 Minutes” and dubbed “the Human Google” by “Good Morning America,” Brad has an uncanny and detailed recall of his entire life and is only the second person ever studied for Hyperthymesia or superior autobiographical memory.

Screenwriter/filmmaker Eric Williams (Mad City, Lip Service) follows his brother Brad’s journey through one eventful year, as media coverage of Brad’s rare mental gift makes him an unlikely celebrity, vaulting him from small-town anonymity to sudden midlife notoriety.

“Unforgettable” is an intimate and humorous portrait of an exceptional individual and an intriguing exploration into the mysteries of the human mind. Brad and Eric Williams will also attend the film screening and be available afterward to discuss their story with the audience.

A Wisconsin native, Brad graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and is entering his third decade as a radio newsman, having worked primarily in the La Crosse area. Currently the morning news anchor on WKTY Radio and Classic Hits 94.7, Brad also creates two daily features: a commentary segment titled “What’s Buried on Brad’s Desk” and the historical retrospective, “Yesterday in La Crosse.” His journalistic work has received awards from AP, UPI, the Northwest Broadcast News Association and the Milwaukee Press Club.
