The top seed in its sectional, team opens play with a home game at Nagawaukee Ice Arena, Delafield
The trip to the WIAA state boys ice hockey state championship for the Moraine/Mukwonago/Oconomowoc ice hockey team begins Friday, Feb. 17, as it takes on the winner of a match-up between Catholic Memorial/Pius and Beloit Memorial. The game is set for the team’s home, the Nagawaukee Ice Arena, Delafield.
CM/P and Beloit Memorial play on Tuesday, Feb. 14, for the right to take on KMMO, the top seed in Sectional 7.
If KMMO advances, it will play the winner of a match between Whitefish Bay Co-Op and Janesville Craig/Parker on Tuesday Feb. 21.
The No. 2 seed in the sectional is the Marquette University High School team. KMMO, the champion of the Classic Eight conference, beat the Hilltoppers 4-3 earlier this season
In addition to KMMO, the other No. 1 sectional seeds include Eau Claire Memorial, Wausau West, Homestead, Notre Dame, Superior, Onalaska, and Verona Area.
KMMO has already defeated Onalaska, 3-1, on Dec. 9, on KMMO’s home ice, and it faces Homstead this Saturday at Delafield.
