Slattery Seeking Waukesha Country Board Supervisor Post Representing Oconomowoc

Oconomowoc Common Council member also running for re-election to District 3 aldermanic post

Cathleen Slattery, one of two aldermen for the city’s District 3, has filed papers for the new Waukesha Country Board supervisor post created by the recent re-redistricting of the county. Slattery filed her papers last week. As of this morning, the only other announced candidate for the position is Robert Kolb. Kolb was a candidate last spring for the District 1 aldermanic post held by Jay Larson (see related article).

The supervisor position is new, created last year by a county-wide redistricting required by federal law after the 2010 census. Before the redistrictring Oconomowoc was shared by two different supervisors, Dave Falstad and Michael Inda Each represented parts of the city and an outlying portion of the county (see earlier article on the redistricting). Because of the redistricting and the Country’s decision to create a new supervisory district that encompasses just the city, there is no incumbent for the district.

  1. Great to see Cathleen Slattery is running for County Board Supervisor! She is currently my Alderman in Oconomowoc and she is terrific. Always very responsive, very well prepared and she has taken some of the most fiscally prudent votes on the City Council. I will look forward to Cathleen bringing her passion, fiscal conservatism and no-nonsense politics to the County level.
